Really!  It was nominated for an Emmy and only lost because it was up against <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">The West Wing<\/span>.  (But composer Joe LoDuca landed on his feet.  He&#8217;s working on <a href=\"http:\/\/kfmonkey.blogspot.com\/2009\/02\/leverage-13th-step-is-shut-up-about-it.html?showComment=1234131360000#c1198213267540505807\"><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Leverage<\/span><\/a> these days.)<\/p>\n<p>Hear the genius for yourself:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_VNsjjYRgjc?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/><small><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/_VNsjjYRgjc\">http:\/\/youtu.be\/_VNsjjYRgjc<\/a><\/small><\/p>\n<p>D and I have been re-watching <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Pinky and the Brain<\/span> recently, which also has a great theme song.  This is one thing I miss about modern TV shows.  I blame <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Frasier<\/span> for starting the trend and shows like <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Lost<\/span> for exacerbating it (though the latter did make for a nice comedy bit at this year&#8217;s Emmys).<\/p>\n<p>I mean, if ever there was a show crying out for a theme song, it&#8217;s <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Glee<\/span>.  Come on, guys.  SRSLY.<\/p>\n<p>Writer Lee Goldberg does a <a href=\"http:\/\/leegoldberg.typepad.com\/a_writers_life\/main_titles\/\">TV Main Title of the Week<\/a> feature on his blog, and it&#8217;s worth subscribing to his feed just to see these.  They&#8217;re not all good&#8211;quite a few are real clunkers&#8211;but as my friend Brian says, the main titles should tell you what to expect from the show itself.
