The show was an example of science fiction comedy, differing from <i>Bewitched<\/i> and <i>I Dream of Jeannie<\/i> in that the central character was a man, and in that he relied on science and advanced technology rather than magic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I distinctly remember watching reruns of <i>Bewitched<\/i>, <i>I Dream of Jeannie<\/i>, <i>Star Trek<\/i>, and <i>Space: 1999<\/i> while growing up.
