Consider, for instance, a mother who suggests to her son that he invoke his right against self-incrimination &#8230; or a wife who persuades her husband not to disclose marital confidences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; Chief Justice William Rehnquist, overturning the Arthur Andersen conviction in the Enron case<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So the highest court in the land has struck down, based on <a href=\"http:\/\/cnnmoney.printthis.clickability.com\/pt\/cpt?action=cpt&amp;title=Unanimous+Supreme+Court+overturns+Andersen+conviction+-+May.+31%2C+2005&amp;expire=&amp;urlID=14402249&amp;fb=Y&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fmoney.cnn.com%2F2005%2F05%2F31%2Fnews%2Fmidcaps%2Fscandal_andersen_scotus%2Findex.htm%3Fcnn%3Dyes&amp;partnerID=2200\">a technicality involving jury instructions<\/a>, the verdict which pretty much destroyed the consulting firm which had handled much of Enron&#8217;s accounting data and, coincidentally, started an internal shred-a-thon just as Enron was being accused of evildoing.
