That, plus the fact that I took the time to double-check whether &#8220;for&#8221; should be capitalized in that title.<\/p>\n<p>I also thoroughly enjoyed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ISBN=1592400876\/curtiscchensfree\"><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Eats, Shoots &#038; Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation<\/span><\/a> (a gift from my lovely wife) and was tickled when Loren, an occasional contributor to this blog, forwarded an email titled <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Serial_comma#Resolving_ambiguity\">&#8220;Pro-Serial Comma&#8221;<\/a> from one of his co-workers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, at my own workplace, a message went around about <a href=\"http:\/\/itre.cis.upenn.edu\/~myl\/languagelog\/archives\/005236.html\">&#8220;The biggest typo in history.&#8221;<\/a>  As usually happens on mailing lists, someone was delighted that anybody else actually read <a href=\"http:\/\/itre.cis.upenn.edu\/~myl\/languagelog\/\">Language Log<\/a>, and others followed up with their own favorite language-related sites, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/literally.barelyfitz.com\/\">Literally, A Web Log<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/quotation-marks.blogspot.com\/\">The &#8220;Blog&#8221; of &#8220;Unnecessary&#8221; Quotation Marks<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apostropheabuse.com\/\">Apostrophe Abuse<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As if I don&#8217;t already have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.janeespenson.com\/\">enough<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penny-arcade.com\/\">blogs<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lisaklink.com\/blog1\">to<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/scalzi.com\/whatever\">follow<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It probably says a lot about me that one of my favorite podcasts is Grammar Girl&#8217;s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing.
