I&#8217;m just very much in touch with my inner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbandictionary.com\/define.php?term=tween\">tween<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Consider:  Of my wife and myself, <span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">I<\/span> am the one who wanted to go see <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Enchanted_(film)\"><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Enchanted<\/span><\/a> in the theatre.  I am also the one who sat through all three hours of MTV&#8217;s broadcast of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtv.com\/ontv\/dyn\/legally_blonde_the_musical\/series.jhtml\"><span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Legally Blonde: The Musical.<\/span><\/a>  And enjoyed most of it.  (D sat down for a little while, but had to leave during &#8220;Gay or European,&#8221; after giving me her trademark &#8220;What the <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">hell<\/span> are you watching?&#8221; look.)<\/p>\n<p>I even teared up at the end of the cut-rate ABC TV version of <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Annie<\/span>&#8211;you know, the crazy 1999 production with that stupid &#8220;NYC&#8221; song and in which <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Annie doesn&#8217;t actually sing &#8220;Tomorrow.&#8221;<\/span>  Like I said, crazy.  But worth watching for Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth alone.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.  How cool is it that three out of five of this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oscars.org\/80academyawards\/nominees\/index.html\">Best Original Song nominees<\/a> are from <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Enchanted<\/span>?  I mean, okay, it&#8217;s not really fair to put The Frames up against the guys who did <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">The Little Mermaid<\/span> and <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Wicked<\/span>, but you can&#8217;t argue with quality.<\/p>\n<p>And I am curious about, but mostly dreading, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.syfyportal.com\/pagetogether.php?id=4671&amp;page=1\">musical version of <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">Time After Time<\/span><\/a>, a sequel to H.G. Wells&#8217; <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">The Time Machine.<\/span>  Unless they go wacky and include a dancing Morlock kick-line.
