And I might as well clean up these tabs while I&#8217;m at it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stanfordalumni.org\/news\/magazine\/fictioncontest\/home.html\">Stanford Magazine<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.interstitialarts.org\/wordpress\/?p=43\">the Interstitial Arts Foundation<\/a> are both looking for short stories to publish&#8211;up to 2,500 words by November 5th and 4,000-10,000 words by December 2nd, respectively.  I probably have a better shot at the latter, which is likely to more receptive to <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">genre<\/span> (rather than &#8220;literary&#8221;) fiction.<\/p>\n<p>I really shouldn&#8217;t be spending more money right now, but these <a href=\"http:\/\/forumst.slickdeals.net\/showthread.php?t=946276\">Gamestop coupons<\/a> are awfully tempting.<\/p>\n<p>A fellow Viable Paradise graduate&#8217;s (not my class, but still my tribe) short story <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daikaijuzine.com\/dkz\/?p=82\">&#8220;Chrono-Girl Vs. Kid Vampire&#8221;<\/a> has been published online.<\/p>\n<p>The latest issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/mags.acm.org\/queue\/200809\/\">ACM Queue<\/a> is online.
