So I tidied up the office (mostly moved boxes into the closet), finished assembling one of the CD shelves in the living room, and digitized an old videotape from high school.  Okay, it&#8217;s not shoveling snow or anything, but it passes for menial labor around here.<\/p>\n<p>I just did my holiday donating online:  $99.80 to <a href=\"http:\/\/vgt.familygivingtree.org\/fgt-portland\">Family Giving Tree Portland<\/a>, and $165.96 to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.childsplaycharity.org\/index.php\">Child&#8217;s Play<\/a> (split evenly between the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fregistry%2Fwishlist%2F1MC27ZEPJCEPH&amp;tag=childsplaycha-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\">Legacy Emanuel<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fregistry%2Fwishlist%2F2IJW3XVXUCS8Z%2F&amp;tag=childsplaycha-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\">Doernbecher<\/a> children&#8217;s hospitals in Portland).  Charity begins at home.
