I’ve been pretty useless for anything requiring brain power today–specifically, writing. Grief
is tiring. So I tidied up the office (mostly moved boxes into the closet), finished assembling one of the CD shelves in the living room, and digitized an old videotape from high school. Okay, it’s not shoveling snow or anything, but it passes for menial labor around here.
I just did my holiday donating online: $99.80 to Family Giving Tree Portland, and $165.96 to Child’s Play (split evenly between the Legacy Emanuel and Doernbecher children’s hospitals in Portland). Charity begins at home. And it’s one thing I can right now do that’s likely to do some good.
